It's True! It is now that time! My Holivan Caravan is actually FOR SALE!
Above is a picture of what it looked like when it was featured in magazines and all the pictures below are of what it looks like now!
As you can see the other side is not as faded...I don't think this van would tow as it has been on soft ground now for 6 years! we did have to move it up the garden a few months back to enable Freddy to be able to maneouver his scooter up the garden to get out of the house via the side gate...it was dificult to get it moving but we did it! So If you decided to buy it from me, you would have to bring a good few strong men to push it up the garden and out into the street and then have the proper transport to take it home with you.
The back of the van is against the wall, so it is in good unfaded condition.
The front door is a little stiff at the moment but this is due to the van not being quite flat.
Now to the inside...
The inside of the Holivan is all tickerty boo! It is still dry and has coped well in our garden through 6 winters...coping with snow, gail force winds and hail stones and yet it is still dry inside.
The paintwork is still in good condition although you will want to decorate it yourself...but it's good to go inside...what you see in these inside pictures (apart from the top picture) will be included in the price.
There is a Cath Kidston cover on the bed...I think this might be a thin sleeping bag! The cushions...all the curtains, the granny blanket, The Keep Calm picture, postcards, tins and shelves etc...Have a look here here and here at ideas on how to dress it up.

If you are seriously interested in buying my Green Holivan can you please email me HERE with your best offer and leave a comment below...well you don't actually have to leave a comment below, but it would be nice to hear from you, to let me know what you would like to use her for...even if you don't live near enough to buy her...
You must also remember that I live in Medway, KENT in the United Kingdom...
Just incase you are in America, as i think there is a Medway over there too!

I am also selling Our Cheltenham Sabre Caravan shown here, so if you are interested in that...

but it is very exciting news indeedy!
Bye for now my lovelies.
Above is a picture of what it looked like when it was featured in magazines and all the pictures below are of what it looks like now!
As you can see the front is still in good order...the green colour has not faded too much but on the right hand side there is a lot of fading as this side faces the sun...it just needs a rub down and a repaint with Hammerite Buckingham Green Garage Door Paint...
The roof needs a clean...I have some caravan cleaner that I will give you, that I bought to clean it myself, before Fred had his second accident!...After that I just lost all interest in the Vans..they have both been sitting in the garden waiting for someone to love them again. The back of the van is against the wall, so it is in good unfaded condition.
The front door is a little stiff at the moment but this is due to the van not being quite flat.

What a lovely little caravan. If only we were in a position to buy it; :( I completley love all things 50's it was just such a great erm and the styles are phenomenal. I'm always on the look out for a little caravan for getaways for my the hubby and the fur babies. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteshe is a beauty but an unexpected turn of events has forced the sale, plus I have not had the mojo to look after them since my hubby's accident, so its best that I pass them on to someone else ;) Thank you so much for your lovely comment though xxxx
DeleteWhat a shame you are having to sell it, and what a shame I cannot have it, I would love something like this in the garden. Alas I don't have the money or the access to my garden. It is gorgeous though and you have obviously spent a lot of time and love on it. I hope you find a worthy owner for her.
ReplyDeleteyou could of made me an offer my lovely...but I completely understand about the garden thing! thanks for your comment though xxx
DeleteI love it but unfortunately like the previous comments I don't have the money. I love that it is soo girly. My partner had a "Man Cave" till a fire destroyed it ( he will get it back in time) but this could be my little place to chill xx

ReplyDeleteHayley. I'm loving it. I've got two questions - does it have a kitchenette or place to prepare food? Sitting area? Any other photos would be great.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you said that it was difficult to pull - I live in Dorset and theoretically could pull it back but you mentioned it may not travel on the road? Could you elaborate? Please email me at info@warestreetmarket.com
Hi Christina...i have emailed you :) speak soon x
DeleteLove it! But I live in the USA! : )
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this caravan! As soon as I look at it, it reminds me of Christmas! I especially love the bright green exterior. This would definitely be something that would be a lot of fun for the whole family.
