ReplyDeleteI am not in! ( Do not remember just now what have done :D Just DIY my caravan for a nicer place.. ).
ReplyDeleteJust want to say that it is a shame that here in Finland don`t have magazines like this :(((((((
Sabes que te sigo y comento tus post desde hace unos meses. Estoy enganchada a Happy Loves Rosy!!!
ReplyDeleteLo que más me gusta de tu blog es la decoración y cómo eres capaz de convertir algo común en un artÃculo de culto. Me encanta.
ReplyDeleteMy most recent (and favourite) upcycled project is my cast iron fireplace. I bought it for £40 on ebay, and with a lot of elbow grease, spray paint and new tiles it looks like a completely different item. It's the perfect centre piece for my living room!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Dear Happy for getting your creative home into the magazine......can't wait to see all the pics of your charming home...if I win...my fingers are crossed.....
ReplyDeleteI am working on using vintage fabric scraps in bangle bracelets...as my recycling project....
I would love to have a copy! I love your style and look forward to see you in the magazine, if I win!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations ! Reloved sounds like a wonderful magazine. Thank you for the chance to win a copy ♥
ReplyDeletelove your vintage caravan ... on the lookout for one :-)
Rosie, love your style and would be thrilled to win a copy of the magazine. My latest project is a 1963 Yellow stone camper I am working on. If you want to see pics check it out on my blog! It is so much fun and is still a work in progress.
ReplyDeleteI love to reuse old materials to make new things. Recently I used an old doily to make a pillow.
ReplyDeleteI love that you are published. I haven't ever seen that magazine before but it sounds like a goodie. One of my latest upcycling projects was a lampshade made from vintage doilies.

My most recent project has been making tags for Christmas presents (I know its only June!) from some old wooden dominoes. x
ReplyDeleteI have my copy so dont need to be entered into the competition. Whoever wins is going to be delighted with the magazine and your story! They're going to love it! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Happy, love your style and ethos. we recently up cycled a really old dresser that was destined for the skip, my dad and I fixed the rotten bottom, my step mum painted it and I did the distressing. Now something that was going to be thrown away is now a useful beautiful piece of furniture once me. I love being a vintage girl!!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to read this magazine! I upcycled a 1978 Scamp trailer recently, totally redecorating it, and I use it camping and hauling junk to sales! Check it out at www.thefemmefatalelife.blogspot.com!Thanks, Happy! <3

ReplyDeleteI have an H and M linen blazer from about 12 years ago that is still quite lovely but way too small for me as I was like a whippet back then. So, I am upcycling it by changing the buttons for some prettier ones and adding a little lace to the pocket and an iron on blue bird; will then sell at my first vintage/handmade fair :) http://asaucystitch.blogspot.co.uk/
ReplyDeleteI picked up a twin bed headboard from a neighbor's castaways the other week...the top has a gentle curve to it that just screamed out "sign" to me...I do plan to paint it and have my sign artist hubby help me letter it. But that doesn't count since the headboard is still in the back of my car! I did upcycle a pasta sauce jar by crocheting a pretty cover for it & now I store my clothespins in it....hopefully that counts? Congrats on being featured in the magazine...it looks like a fantastic publication <3
ReplyDeleteSmiles, DianeM
Oh Happy..This is so exciting..I would love to win a copy..I too am working on a lampshade made from vintage doilies.
ReplyDeleteOh yes I am also working on pillow covers made from vintage table cloths..
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot..I am painting some old wicker furniture for in my office/craft room..
ReplyDeleteI bought a mirror at a second hand store and cleaned and painted it for my daughters room.
ReplyDeleteI love to have a copy! I love you style and i like to see it in the magazine. So please send it to Holland!! :-) XX Esther
ReplyDeleteHi Happy. I have so many projects going at the same time that it keeps things interesting. Currently, I'm working on turning an old, wooden toilet chair into a garden planter. It is a simple chair with a lid that lifts up to insert the chamber pot as you call them there in the UK. This potty was rescued from a small farm and it is not at all worth restoring. So, I'm painting it then inserting a large fern into the chamber pot area. I'm leaving the lid up for added fun. It will go on one of my porches. Congrats on your article Happy. Would love to see the mag. I tried to find it here, but no such luck.
ReplyDeleteMy next garden project I'm upcycling is a Garden Mushroom/Gnome Home. I found a wooden solid milk bottle shaped game piece from one of those carnival games. I am going to paint it then paint and old metal, rusty enamelware wash pan. The wash pan will be red with white polka dots. The milk bottle will be white. I will turn the pan upside down and place over the milk bottle to make a Mushroom. Both of these items were picked up for cheap at a thrift store. They were bound for the garbage. Once the Mushroom is done, I have a vintage Gnome that awaits this as his new home in my Garden.
ReplyDeleteI used an old wagon to make a fairy garden! The magazine looks great!
ReplyDeleteHmmm let me see! I have been gathering children's toys and dressing them up in doilies
ReplyDeleteI recently made a shawl out of silk and fabrics with Chinese images on them. I have a box full of fabric scraps from when I worked at a fabric showroom and thought of the idea on a recent trip to France. Thanks for the chance!!I would LOVE to receive that issue!

I'm still quite new on the up cycling side of things, but my recent quick project was to mod-podge some amazing printed wrapping paper (sheep in knitted jumpers and wellingtons!) onto a 60s teak tea tray, that now carries my breakfast cuppa every morning!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog Happy - and that magazine is a thing of my dreams, I'd LOVE a copy!! My latest upcycled thingy is a set of fairy lights that I took the shades off and replaced them with Barbie clothes, dresses and skirts mostly - that I bought a bag of for next to nothing at a car boot sale!!
ReplyDeleteI am currently recycling old containers and making them beautiful for my craft room. I am so inspired by your beautiful style!
ReplyDeleteI ran across your blog on Pinterest. So glad I did :)
