It is pretty - think through it twice though! I´ve had a tattoo for 12 years and right now I´m removing it because I finally got fed up with it. It´s not big, it´s not ugly - I just don´t want it anymore.
It is really expensive to remove it, I don´t complain about that though because I really loved it for many years. So if you think you´ll love the tattoo enough to not complain about the price if you ever would like to remove it - go for it! :-)
I dithered about getting a tattoo for years but finally had one done for my 40th and still love it 8yrs on. They are like plastic surgery - permanent and expensive to change so give it some thought... but it is lovely!!!
I wanted one on my back, but the big thing that you forget is (and this came from someone with one) that you don't ever get to appreciate it. I have one on my wrist and I love it because I can see it and can hide it easily for work/meeting clients etc.
I not a tattoo fan because of the permanancy. I had to get used to them though when my son began tattooing his entire body. He has a sleeve, neck, chest, and hands. Thankfully he found a really good artist whom did all of his...mostly black with bits of color. My daughter wants them too..that will be harder for me to get used to. I'm hoping she will make good choices. Piercings can be removed, tattoos can't. Good luck!
Oh WOW! I have a really ugly tattoo on the small of my back that I had done when I was 19 and this would be such a great way to cover it! Lets be brave together and do it!!!! P.S Have been following your blog for a while and I love it to death. Have just re-launched my new look website and have you on the links page! please check it out if you like xx Sadie www.sadieboonvintage.com

ReplyDeleteI adore it. Looks like it might take a couple of sittings to have it completed.
ReplyDeleteI have a wedding band tattoo. Have NEVER regretted it.
I'd love another tat, just haven't decided upon the right one as of yet.
Love it !

OOh it is rather gorgeous! My sister has an amazing one on the top of her back, in beautiful colour like that - she lived in Tahiti so it's got a pink English rose in the middle of Tahitian tiaré flowers and ferns to reflect both cultures... I dithered for 18 years or so and finally got a koi carp (pink!!) on my left foot when I lost my job in the City in 2009 - it's my "F... you" tattoo to remind me never go back to work for "the man" lol :) I still love it although I do sometimes wonder if people judge me because of it? I'm nearly 51 now and glad I didn't do it when I was younger.
