Yes we are snowed in too! and Mum has just rang.....she has cancelled the Party booked for Sunday...luckily no money has been lost and it will be re-booked for May :) More time to loose weight! LOL!
It has been snowing now for 3 days on and off...and today, Max and I, ventured into the garden to take these pictures.
As you can see, I dressed up for the occassion..it looks like I have granny snow slippers on here! hehehe!
The pampas grass, has been weighed down with the snow, but it seems quite hardy, so hopefully it will survive, I should of cut it down last year towards the end of the season, but didnt realise. So it has grown double the size...but I am glad now as I think it might be helping it to be more hardy.
Heres Max, wondering whether to go any further into the thick blanket of snow!...In the end he was running around like a good'un and when we eventually went in, his paws were encrusted with thick snow.
The snow does make the garden look lovely....its hard to believe that anything will grow again....but I have seen little buds here and there...I just hope they survive the winter!
How is it where you are...are you snowed in too?
Love Happy x

Hiya Happy, Yep we are snowed in also here in Norfolk, its really pretty but very messy and annoying at times. Milo my Westie has the same thoughts as your Max i think, he does love the snow and chasing snowballs bless him, and once inside we have thick paws full of snow lol.

Hallo, I just found your lovely blog. I'm thrilled looking at your colourful life you share here, though in my own life I prefere white and brown and natural colored wood. But it never hurts to look outside one's box! So I'll surely return often!
ReplyDeleteHere in southern Germany we are just waiting for the snow, they say it will come tomorrow or on the weekend.
Much love
Rabenfrau from Germany
It's snowing but I would have to be wedged in the house by an avalanche to get a day off work!
ReplyDeleteMax is just so cute! I love his gorgeous little red coat too xx
ReplyDeleteLike your new German friend above, we were told that in southern France the snow would return today, but then they changed their minds and told us tomorrow, and now, much to the children's disappointment, we're told it will arrive on Saturday, so they won't miss a day of school! I really hope it doesn't come - it's never as pretty as your snow in England, and it just messes things up. You're very calm about your mum's party - well done!
ReplyDeleteMax is such a cutie, and the perfect model for his lovely snow suit. I never owned a dog before, but we are becoming proud parents of a Westie puppy in about a week. I blogged about her a few days ago. I'm so excited and to see Max just brings a smile to my face.

We are snowed in too and its lovely!Lots of snowman making, hot chocolate drinking and baking gingerbread men... well bears actually as we couldn't find the 'man' cutters (ooh that sounds rather painful!)
ReplyDeleteOh Max looks Fantastic!!! Beautiful in fact! yes, we are also snowed in here, you start to enjoy it and then you start to hate it....well I do anyway, I feel like either it should snow really really hard and lets be really snowed in, or just get rid of this couple of inches that is really something of nothing!!! Happy New Year Andrea x
ReplyDeleteMy goodness everyone is having such crazy weather this year. It's been freezing cold here for over a week and I don't like it! xo, suzy
ReplyDeleteCan I please have Max? I need his little puppy face in my life. I could just eat him up he's so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Happy,
ReplyDeleteYes I've been snowed in too but unfortunately unwell with it! I'm starting to feel better and embracing being unable to drive about anywhere and getting some indoor jobs done!
Victoria xx
I'm popping in from Michigan in the United States to say yes, we're snowed in too. Not unusual to us, it's usually cold & snowy in winter, but this year our summer was record setting cold as well. We only wish for GLOBAL WARMING!!! LOL! In southern Texas there's also snow and in Florida the poor oranges are freezing. My brother lives in Birmingham, England. Any snow there? If so I'm sure he's loving it and missing home a bit!
ReplyDeleteI'm rejoicing in the snowy winter here in Minnesota, US. We just had another full day of it here. It's so fresh and clean...and quiet. So happy to have found your blog!
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of snow in Suffolk (but sadly not enough to prevent me getting to work)LOL. I must still be a child at heart because I'm loving this weather. I'm sure we had more snow when I was younger... Just love the wellies - they're fab! xx
ReplyDeleteWe are not too bad here in Lancashire, but there is a coating off snow all over and the pavements are lethal! Best place is by the roaring fire! suzie. xxx
ReplyDeleteWe are snowed in here in Ohio in the U.S. Every school surrounding us was cancelled today, EXCEPT ours. The kids were soooo disappointed.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your photos, as always.
Amy
Yes snowed in here too, just a little further up the Thames. Oh, and dont worry about your pampas grass....nothing will kill it. Years ago I tried to kill 2 large ones on purpose, setting fire to them, and they still survived! In the end it was pickaxes and chain saws! So a little bit of snow will do them no harm.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Betty
We're snowed in in the Derbyshre Peak District too and have been since Monday! Today we've also got 3 foot long icicles hanaging from the eaves outside my craft room window. Pam x
ReplyDeleteHappy,
ReplyDeleteWow...In the States the east and midwest are getting hammered with fridig cold and snow, one small town in upper state New York had 55 inches of the white stuff ! It had been snowing every day since December 17th!
Yesterday where I live it was 70 degress and sunny....I live in the southwest in Arizona. And this is our time of year! Summer is terrible with temps in the 100's but right now we are in Nirvana!
Stay warm and enjoy your weekend! It seems like it's cold everywhere right now! Take care!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to be snowed in? Have a warm and cozy time of it!
ReplyDeleteWell we put the plow on the tractor and pushed our way out to civilization. Slipped and fell on a chicken while trying to feed them. Thank heavens no one was injured but it did ruffle our feathers. Stay warm. Weve stoked the fire and are just sitting around tinkering.

Hi Happy! I just discovered your sight and I am loving it. It's so bright and cheerful - a wonderful way to start my day. I live in the Southeast of the United States so it is cold here but no snow. My Maltese, Lego and I enjoyed the brisk morning air today. Can't wait to read more of your blog.
ReplyDeleteJust came by for the first time and found it funny my latest post is quite similar to yours. Pictures of my dog and I taking a walk through the snow! Going to check out some more of your pretty site!
