Blogging is . . .
ReplyDeletejournaling, from the heart, getting the word out, caring, eye candy, crafty, beautiful, cute, pretty, sad, lonely, desperate, a connection across the miles, friendship and so much more.
I love to go on the adventure of reading blogs. Everyone is on a different ride... some on a smooth boat ride, some on a roller coaster with highs and lows.
I have kept so many blogs over the past 5 years. I will purge them and delete and then start all over again.
It makes me so happy that most of my favorite blogs are all in this book! I don't have a copy myself so I am honored to be a part of the drawing. :-)
XOXO
This book arrived with me last week!! Great to see blogs i follow in it & very interesting reading!!
ReplyDeleteSharon xx
Congrats on the book.
ReplyDeleteI blog for inspiration both me and for everyone else, i blog for keeping myself aware of what my life contains, and remembering the days as they go along.
have a lovely weekend,.im going to canary lovly synny islands...
cheers.
There's two reasons why blogging is blissful for me.
ReplyDeleteIt satisfies my need to make a connection with like-minded people who have the same interests as me. They're as scarce as hen's teeth in my real life but wonderfully abundant in blogland. They're extended friends and family for me.
The other reason is that I love being allowed a privileged peak into someone's life. I love that they trust me to be kind, responsive and supportive.
I'm not surprised they chose to feature your great blog in a book. About time!
I started out blogging to promote my on line decor store. I ended up loving it and this whole blogging world. I like sharing decorating and design tips and just any thing on my heart a particular day.
ReplyDeleteI love the encouragement and support that comes in this blog world!!
I blog to relax and share photos of my favorite things and to be inspired by others. I love decorating blogs and vintage items so I can always see something neat and fun on my favorite blogs! Thanks for the chance to win this book! I would be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteWhy do I blog? 'Cos I can!
ReplyDeletei blog to share my bliss. it is not so much that blogging is bliss....it is actually work sort of.....but i blog because i find bliss knowing that other folks get it and i have a place to let "it" all out.
ReplyDeletei started blogging for my husband while he was deployed, but then i realized how much i have in common with so many other women out there doing the same things i am doing....decorating with the same things i'm decorating with...buying the same vintage goodies i love to buy....and collecting the same things i love to collect....and following the same bliss i'm following everyday.
you blog included...100%!!!!!
thanks for a giveaway chance!!!
take care
vintagesue
I blog as a way to chronicle my thoughts, my ideas, my dreams and the things I love. I blog to leave a message for my family-that I love them all so much!
ReplyDeleteMy blogging doesn't just include my blog. I consider "blogging" enjoying what others have to share with us; a color, a new knitting stitch, a book recommendation, a new quilt pattern, photographs of beautiful things, home decorating tips and ideas, humor and so much more!
Thanks for the giveaway! Thanks for sharing with us!
Have a great day!
Congrats on being featured in the book. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteBlogging for me is Bliss because it makes me happy to share photos and posts that inspire my readers. It makes me feel good to know that there are others out there that enjoy and share my same interests {which is everything vintage}. And, because of those common interests, you meet new people and develop friendships. And, I in turn, enjoy visiting other blogs to be inspired by what they enjoy and to learn a little about someone else.
Thank you for this chance to win a copy of the book.

Congrats on the book! I blog to connect with kindred spirits who love the things I love and who "get it".
ReplyDeleteI blog to relax, to unwind and to spend time amongst the most talented and generous people I have never met.
ReplyDeleteThey share the same 'bizarre' additions and attractions that I do and they ( the blogging community) make me feel that all is right in my little world and goodness I am wuite normal! Go figure!
Fantastic giveaway happy, fingers crossed, Kiss Noises Linda

It's simple 'blogging makes me happy' ! I would love to get my hands on this book.
ReplyDeleteTried to comment earlier but it went wrong - I'd love to get a copy of the book 'cause there are so many things I'd love to blog about but just don't seem to have the confidence in my ability to do the subject justice. I try but it is all mainly hohum stuff.
ReplyDeleteI do love your photos they are wonderful!
D.
I would love this book. I blog so my OH doesn't have to pretend he loves my crochet blanket! I love seeing what everyone's has made, it keeps me busy & finally made me sell my goodies! :)
ReplyDeleteWhauw, great book! Wish we could buy it in the Dutch.
ReplyDeleteFirst I didn't want to start a blog.... a virtule world didn't seem real... How silly of me think! Now I'm addicted to blogging, it is the most INSPIRING and creative (productive)time of my life!
I'm so HAPPY I started blogging!
Initially I blogged to keep in touch with loved ones back home in the States and Hong Kong about our american/british family here in the UK, but they don't check so much. Now it's my little hobby and I love sharing with and learning from such a supportive group of women.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading blogs for almost 4 years and now I have my own blog....I have been writing for nearly a year and a half.
ReplyDeleteI love it - I love that people read my woffle and leave sweet encouragement. I'm an illustrator too - so its a brilliant way to post my work and crafty projects too...
Everyone should blog!
Love Sam xx

I blog partly for my mum, who is very ill far away from me. We visit whenever we can, but when emails and phonecalls became difficult due to her illness, I looked for another way to share the fun of everyday life with my mum. It really is blissful to know that we are still in daily contact, and that she can 'see what I see' across the miles.
ReplyDeleteI also blog for my newfound friends in the blogging world - I take enormous strength and pleasure from their blogs, comments and further contact, and I know my mum is also delighted to share some of these friends with me.
I blog for me. It is my little place to get my thoughts out and write about what I am up to at the moment. It is such a wonderfully creative outlet and it makes me HAPPY!
ReplyDeleteI'm not very good with words, and saying what I think, but I am getting there! it also helps sitting with a coffee reading everybody elses blogs, knowing that we are not all mad! I qwould love that book, get be ideas!
ReplyDeleteBlogging has been a wonderful adventure into meeting so many lovely people from all other the world, reading of their lives and cultures and peeping in beyond their doors at all the fun and beautiful ways of decorating, found treasures, sharing so much artsy, crafty creative things etc...and souls connecting through prayer and mind set...it truly makes for a blissful life,indeed....it has taking me places I could have never imagined going...and I have reaped blessing upon blessings through interacting with the blogging world. Your's for one is truly a "HAPPY" place indeed....thanks for sharing your life and home with all of us and offering this wonderful book.....blessings
ReplyDeleteI blog for bliss, for colour and inspiration, The whole sharing that goes on and finding people that you just "get" and hopefully "get" you too. Which you dont always come across in the real world. Its a happy place everyone should join.

ReplyDeletei don't blog but there so many wonderful ones i enjoy following!
I´m not amazed YOU are in the book. You´re blog expresses such a hapiness! And that´sw hy i´d like to win the book cause i blog to try to inspire others with my crafts, ideas, things i bump into in life. There might be better ways to blog so let me find out....
ReplyDeleteWell done ! Well the reason I started blogging was as a record of my WIP that I was aiming to finish ...it sort of escalated from there really !!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started blogging it was to kick myself into making things, often I drooled over other peoples blogs and what they had made, thinking 'I wish that was me' and then I thought why shouldn't it be me and so my blog was born and I made things hurrah! At first I blogged all the time and then unfortuately outside things took over a bit and I have just had a four month absence from blogging. What is lovely to find is that my blogging friends are still there to say 'welcome back'.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being in the book. Can't wait to browse through a copy and see you. x
Hello Happy! just to congrats on the book!
ReplyDeleteMy blis comes from feeling like my life in a wheelchair has meaning and hope. Knowing I can create something of interest gets me through the dark times.

Blogs are so inspiring, I just love dropping into other peoples lives and loves. I blog so I can add a little of me and my family to the world, make new friends and share the creativity I find.

I blog for bliss mostly because.......among the sweeping of the floor, the washing of the clothes, the bathing of the kiddos, the cooking of the meals, the shoveling of the driveway, and the washing of the windows, blogging is the ONLY thing that STAYS DONE. Once you hit "publish," it is there.......no matter how many muddy feet come tracking through the door. And that is bliss.
ReplyDeleteYay for being in the book!!:D super jealouse ;) tehehe! I would love a chance to whisk away your extra copy into my little cubby of a work space ;) so here goes! The only main reason I started up a blog is because I just never shut up! I love sharing things I find with people, but my memory is so terrible that I needed somewhere to post links and pictures to get me started, and also to show photo's of my own creations! Blogging made life so much easier to let my family and friends keep up to date with whatever mad new stuff I've been upto. Since the early days I have began to get more of an idea into making my blog look pretty and interesting, and eventually hope to one day achieve something as glorious as this little beauty! But until then I'm just happy to share all of the beautiful and random things that I still manage to find every day ;) (or week... :p)

I have this book so you don't need to pick me, but congrats for being featured in it. I read it cover to cover and checked out every blog in it. That's how I found you!
ReplyDeleteNancy
I've been blogging for 3 years now and I couldn't imagine not having my "friends" part of my life. The blogging community has given me friendship, support and affirmation and they have seen me through good times and bad...you couldn't ask for a nicer bunch!
ReplyDeleteThat book looks wonderful, congratulations on being featured!
ReplyDeleteI started blogging for myeslf, to chart the progress of my house towards a more vintage style. But as time has gone on I've grown to appreciate the support and warmth of my fellow bloggers. Also I love to inspire and feel inspired by others.

I've just started blogging and I love it because I'm able to connect with so many lovely, like-minded, creative people and I can do it in the comfort of my own home and in my PJ's if I feel like it.

Congrats on being included in the book, yay!!
ReplyDeleteBlogging is blissful to me for many reasons. Its my fantasy world, my passions in a bubble. I love to communicate with likeminded people. It lets me share the writer, crafter, photographer in me with my blog friends. Blogging is a fabulous way to share inspiration, laugh amongst blogfriends and see the beauty of photos and picutres.
I blog for the recipes.....love to cook!.
ReplyDeleteOh yes I would love a copy of the book! You must be so chuffed to see yourself in print.
ReplyDeleteI started blogging after being inspired by creative blogs I stumbled across and have never looked back. I just love the fact that I now have a record of things I've done in the past and can easily look back at them. Blogging is very addictive and I probably spend waaay too much time visiting all the wonder blogs out there now. xx
Congrats on the feature in the book!
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence! I got my copy from Amazon on the same day as you (No idea why it took several months to get to the UK!) and I'm right here on your blog because I saw you in there, on page 43! So obviously, I don't want to be entered for the draw, because then I'D have to have a Blogging for Bliss giveaway too, and who knows where it would end up! So I'm going to move on down the page and have a look round. I'm just a bit further west than you, BTW - Isle of Wight.
ReplyDeleteJanice.
If there was no blogging, how could I ever share the lives and hobbies and lovely homes from all of these lovely women all over the world. It is so great to see that there are a lot in common with so many women in the world. Thank you thank you so much for blogging!!!
ReplyDeleteI blog to make a diary of my life and creativity! Hi,
ReplyDeleteI just started blogging because I realized my kids were growing up way too fast and I didn't document their years with as many pictures as I had wanted to. I needed to correct that! I have way more pictures of the kiddos now. I love reading other blogs to get wonderful, creative ideas from other fantastic women. Thanks for sharing!

I just wanted to say, I have recently had the pleasure of meeting the Happy Zombie (a friend of a friend) - your Blog Bliss buddy, who introduced me to YOUR blog, which I check every other day. Even if I've read it already, I just like the eye candy. So, you can say I, too, Blog for Bliss...and you are one of my top Blissful Bloggers!
Thank you for blogging!
I agree with a lot of what all of these comments say...I started blogging a little over two months ago after getting "Blogging for Bliss" and this is one of the happiest times I have had in my life! I love the women I have connected with! So inspirational in so many ways! You included!!!!! Wonderful Holiday Banner by the way!
ReplyDeleteI blog because I love being part of this international community of crafters. Even if my neighbors or friends don't share my crafting passions, my online friends do! I love the inspiration that's just a mouse click away, and I blog because I want to support the community, too.

ReplyDeleteI blog to keep in touch with my family. I'm away at college, so it's nice that they can still feel connected to me and what I'm doing. :)
Hi Happy,
ReplyDeleteHope I'm still in time to enter? Loving your new blog banner, it's fab.
I blog for several reasons, all to be blissful! I like to get in touch with new people and meet like-minded folks; since giving up work and staying at home, it's nice to be able to have a cyber-natter. Secondly, I suppose I like to share my finds and makes and enthuse about them with people who might appreciate them - and of course, I like to do the same with other people's blogs which are always so inspiring.
