Sorry I have been gone for a few days, I have been enjoying the weather and getting out there in the lovely sunshine...We have been decorating the garden! with oddments of furniture with no home, from our move....as you know not everything fitted in!

I'll bring you the pictures soon gals....there has been a downside though! I suffer terribly in the heat! every mosquito in sight homes in on me and despite me wearing as many clothes as I can suffer on a hot day! the mossies still managed to bite me at least 10 times down my legs! I think they can taste the sweet 'toffee crumble' inside my veins! LOL! Yes I have polished the lot off! Thank goodness that has gone! WHAT A GREEDY PIG I am!! hahaha! some things never change!!

Oh and as to my blood tests...everthing is A OK!...so the reason I am feeling so under the weather is probably because I havn't been eating too healthily lately! still summers here and I have managed to get hold of a lovely butler sink that I am going to grow some herbs and hopefully some salad in! so at least I'll be getting some nutrients!

Anyway I had better go...I'll be back with some more news of our 'new look' garden shortly.....I hope you are all having a lovely weekend :) Speak to you soon!...

Love Happy x

  1. Poor thing - we're covered in mozzie bites after a meal outside yesterday evening, but really, we were asking for it... I hope you do get to enjoy your garden after all this work in it! I can't wait to see the photos.

I'm having two Garden Parties (one real, one bloggy) for my birthday this year - there's an invitation on my site if you'd like to come!

  2. How strange, have you tried burning citronella candles when you're outside and eating marmite?

It's defo true, I feel like shite almost as soon as I eat junk! I dink a hot chocolate and then 5 mins later I look green and start to feel feint. I LOVE that toffee crumble stuff, that and cola cubes so for heavens sake don't send me the link to the site otherwise I too will be polishing off a whole jar full! :-)

  3. Hi Rosie, One of your longterm lurkers here. So glad to hear that your bloodwork is ok, I hope you will feel better soon, that fresh herb salad might just do the trick.
I have a red, white and blue give away going on my blog and since those are your favorite colors I thought I'd give your the heads up.
    Love, M

  4. I remember when I was younger, the thought of spending the day in the garden was just too boring to consider and I never thought I would be doing that. How time changes us, there is nothing nicer than pottering in the garden, warm sun, pretty flowers and tables set for lunch, it is like an outside room!
Mosquitoes are the pits! They obviously enjoy the way you smell so you have to disguise that smell, I hate to use personal repellant but as someone else said citronella torches or candles are wonderful. Plus having extra Vitamin B in your diet really really helps keep mosquitoes away, I would say eat more Vegemite ( which I usually do say) but not sure whether that is likely in your house.
Anyhooo, have a wonderful day, Kiss Noises Linda

  7. Hi there,

there are a couple of natural mozzie repellants - one is neem oil and the other is Repel® Lemon Eucalyptus
Just google !neem oil mosquito repellant' and it will mention both in the listings

The chemical is really nasty and not good for anyone
The alternatives are just as good and sometimes work even better !
love your blog, you're our little ray of sunshine!!
