Oh Thank Goodness!
ReplyDeleteI went to school in the UK (1970-73!)and I am a British Subject, and was so upset when I learned they had retired the old routemaster! This is great news!
I hope to come back to visit so I will definately have a ride!
Tina
London would not be the same without them. Glad they are coming back.
ReplyDeleteI always loved those buses!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that they will be on the streets of London, once again!;-)
I miss the Routemaster, such a shame they got rid of them. I understand the thinking behind it but I hardly ever see disabled people trying to get on buses!
ReplyDeleteBlack cabs, red telephone boxes, red buses ... what next?!
ReplyDeleteLondon certainly isn't the same without the red buses... it's so sad to see red buses, telephone boxes and alike disappearing.

Glad to hear it! Maybe by that time I'll take my dream vacation to London and ride one. Love your blog, so much eye candy!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a good time to come...! its our Olympic year! :)
ReplyDeleteOh that will be cute- not sure about the glass rooves - it's supposed to be private and very smoky on the top floor - I'm guessing none of that is allowed in 21st century london! t.x
ReplyDeleteEveyone loves those buses, they are icons! And I love that your little face is on the front of them, so cute :) Am I the only one who noticed?
ReplyDeleteHi katie...yep you have noticed - well done chick...I live and dream that one day i might be that famous! he he he!
ReplyDeletelove Happy x
i adore these red buses. if it weren't for the fact that i definitely do not live in london, i would try to buy one! i don't think i could afford the shipping!
ReplyDeletewhen me and hubby were first dating we went to see an indie film at a very cool little local theatre that had tables and waitresses and beer.
we sat through over 2 hours of reading subtitles about these star crossed lovers, and right as they were finally getting together, he runs out into the street to catch up to her on the other side, and WHAM! he gets hit by a double decker red bus!
so, as twisted as that sounds, they always bring back such nice memories of me and hubby when our love was brand new!
Yes, bring back the routemaster, I love these buses and will post a picture on my blog, lets start a campaign to bring them all back, surely there is still room for some tradition in this crazy modern world. Neil
