Oh dear...! doesn't crafting make your house untidy!...I wanted to do it in the Dining Room for some reason...! Not a good idea as look what mess I got into!...you see the thing is I have to work in a tidy place - so that I can have a clear mind...I made all this mess in about half an hour...and then my brain was all fuzzy...and I couldn't think what else to make....I did have fun though!
Its great isn't it when you get to use the things that you have spent a life time buying!...and what with my love for buttons...I have finally found a way to use them all - Check out my website!...HAPPY LOVES ROSIE
Ooooh and do check out Vintage Indie
I have had an article published in their magazine....A new section entitled 'My Vintage pad' if you have a few minutes to spare it might be worth having a look...theres a few extra's in there that you might not know about me!!
Here are some pictures of the outside of our house...it is rather modern and probably nothing like you would of expected...but because it is by the water, it makes for a Happy abode!
We live in one of the three story town houses on the left hand side....and yes that building that they have built next to us does look rather like IKEA, but its actually apartments!...and next to it is a working boatyard where they load up freight to be sent all over the world!
And this is the other side of the Bridge...yes you actually come over a bridge to get onto our Island....and theres some lovely boats there!....and below is an old boatyard structure that is listed...it was built by the same guy that built Alexandra Palace...Paxman is it?...OOh I cant remember right now...but its view I can see from my house....its a lovely place to live, it kinda feels like you are on holiday all the time.....I just felt that it would be the right time to let you see it....what with the Vintage Indie Interview and all that....Have a lovely weekend gals...Luv Happy x

ReplyDeleteOh! Oh! Buttons!!! I¡m a button obssessed too! The jewelery you make with them is BEAUTIFUL! I make necklaces too, and triyng on brooches, ear rings, bracelets..., they are an excuse to keep on buying buttons like a crazy woman!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home :o) That must be nice overlooking the water, too. I know what you mean about getting the living room messy when crafting! I was sewing last night, and now there are threads all over the floor and fabric scraps all over. My living room is very multipurpose! Hope you're having a great day!

Hi Hayley and Fred, Just checking in and hoping that you are both well and happy. Thinking of you. No twins yet. They are behaving and staying put. Vicki at Hollyhocks.typepad.com
ReplyDeleteOh how I love your blog! It's so gorgeous. I did a post on your lovely items a little over a month ago. So what did you make with your crafts? I know what you mean about the messy part. My table looks the same way at this exact moment. Have a nice day! Daisy~
