Hi folks, I was watching Richard and Judy's new show and they were talking about the original High School Musical 'Grease'....and as they started to play music from it, it made me start to remember the fact that I went to see it 5 times on the trot! yes I loved it and was hopelessly in love with John Travolta, so I just had to add it too my blog....Enjoy!

omg! i think i saw it at least 3 times at the theater and i bet at least 1000 times at home on vhs and later on dvd. i love the soundtrack also. one of my favorites. grease rulez!!!!

I knew all the words, I remembered we all bought or made full-circle skirts which were a nightmare in a high wind, and I remembered practising the dance routines over and over - a bit weird with no boys to help so girls only doing all the parts! A very fine summer movie! Thanks for the memories!
ReplyDeleteI saw it 19 times at a little movie theatre in Austin, Minnesota. All my friends and I would fill up the entire back row, sing along to all the songs, do the hand jive, and have the best time. It's such a happy memory, but I'm sure we were a complete nightmare to everyone else in the theatre.

ooo I loved Grease..we did it as our school production in 1979..I was only 10 and most of us in it had never even seen the film as I think it was a 16 or maybe even an 18 certificate at the time..but all of us knew every song!!

These days of football all over in Vienna AND my dear watching on the big TV I always take my sewings and disappear in the bedroom, where I unfortunately only have 5 channels (one of them showing sport...) What a joy the other night: Grease was on one channel!
