Because of all the rain here in Blighty these last few weeks, (no Outside markets) we rolled up at an Antiques Fair held at Chatham Dockyard (which is just around the corner to us!) last week....it was such a shame as there were hardly any sellers there...it should be called a Vintage and Craft fair, as I think these days, People are put off, of the title 'Antiques' we all seem to think the items will be really expensive!...
Anyway, although there were only a few sellers, we managed to find this little Gem! Freddy remembers his Aunty and Uncle having the same print in their living room back in the 1970's!
It was a real BARGAIN and now sits pride of place in our Sitting Room! She looks like she is in the puddle, in our back garden lol!
Oh that rain!
She is soooooo coooool though!
What have you all been buying lately in this VERY wet Summer?

Isn't that just a gorgeous old print? I agree- when people see the word Antique they automatically think EXPENSIVE- It's too bad. However, it looks like it worked out for you- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOur next door neighbours had that picture ... I wonder who she was? Antiques do sound expensive, and dare I say it ... not as much fun as a vintage fair! Enjoy your week, Claire xxx
ReplyDeleteOh yes sirrreee that darn old rain!!! I've been buying Vernon Ward paintings to get me through...if the rain continues through the summer it could prove to be expensive!
ReplyDeleteThat's one fabulous picture!
